Winthrop House

Winthrop is one of the proudest and tightest-knit of the twelve houses of Harvard College, and we're thrilled to have visitors and newcomers -- especially you, incoming sophomores! -- exploring our online presence. We're a community of over 400 students, led by a talented and vibrant house committee; a group of dedicated tutors and staff; Resident Dean Gregg Peeples; and the House Masters and family, including sons Trey and Chase. Our house is made of two beautiful old buildings, Gore and Standish Halls, which stand on either side of a central courtyard on the banks of the Charles River between the Anderson and Weeks bridges. We boast majestic common rooms, the Straus Cup -- we work hard to keep it here -- and indomitable spirit. Please look around and make yourself at home!
