The Junior Common Room (JCR)
- Winthrop H-Entry
-
The JCR is the largest room in Winthrop and is located in H-entry across from the dining hall. Newly and sumptuously redecorated, the room is a perfect stopover destination for last-minute class reading, small group discussions, and of course, TV! The JCR is now equipped with a brand new big screen television complete with cable which is great for watching all kinds of shows and games with other people in the House. The room also boasts a fireplace, music stands, and two grand pianos. Since the room is ideal for large student group meetings, it usually books far in advance. The furniture configuration in the JCR must be restored by any group.
PLEASE NOTE: Sunday through Thursday, from 7:00 - 11:00 PM the JCR is set aside as a student lounge and is NOT available to any groups.
